Queer 2024
“All you can do is look away. But why would you?”
Really enjoyed this one, even when the storytelling leaned into the abstract (aka hard to follow). With Luca’s masterful eye for style, and Jonathan Anderson helming costumes, Queer was a feast for the eyes, and a giant cartoon mallet to the heart.
P.S. I will be dreaming about that red wall-to-wall carpet for no less than two years.

John Early was (of course) hilarious as Terry Goon, which may have earned an extra ½ ★ for this queer, pandemic-era comedy that had great ideas, but fell short in its ability to communicate them.
