  A gut wrenching, moving film. The cinematography was great, the sound design was great, the story was great. I really appreciate how the story was focused on these guy’s story and didn’t try to rush any sort of happy ending with the war ending.

  Super impressed with how captivating this film was for being made in the 50s in comparison to the flashiness of modern movies. Did a great job of telling a story without too much dialogue or effects. The message of humans reactions to death was very powerful and thought provoking (once it was fully explained to me). Probably wouldn’t watch again because of how melancholic in nature it is but will most definitely get you thinking about what matters and how we should live or life.
