  Denzel Washington gives another crazy performance. Heartfelt movie that comes through as genuine, even though it had plenty of chances to err. I wonder if it could’ve been pulled off without Denzel, as usual he puts the team on his back and demands attention purely through his sincerity in the role.

  Pretty corny, but definitely entertaining at times. A sci-fi thriller with almost as many plot holes as New York has manholes, but if u can get over ur cynicism then it can be fun

  A true epic. Maintains simplicity throughout without becoming mundane, and while not gripping per se, it thoughtfully holds the attention. A lovely score prevails, elegantly weaving with the moody palate of the film. Slyly then forcefully explores its themes of inequality at large, but specifically explores the immigrants struggles.
