  interesting watch for me. it’s probably the least ‘Nolany’ Nolan film there is, no plot convolution or real complexities, no jaw dropping set pieces, just a raw detective story. it’s carried by the performances that Al Pacino and Robin Williams deliver as the morally ambiguous protagonist and antagonist duo. they drive the entire plot and it’s pacino’s character that interests me most for the whole film. overall it’s a very interesting story with a lot of great twists…

  i had a lot of fun with this. it’s definitely a bit long, act 1 and 2 are far better than 3 imo, it does go off the rails slightly close to the end. i think robert pattinson is brilliant in this, the themes explored are fascinating for the most part. my main gripe is with marc ruffallo character on the whole, just didn’t resonate with me at all and tbh i didn’t like his performance whatsoever.…
