Enjoyed seeing the tonal shift of the movie as Holland Spiderman transitioned from Marvel to Sony-Marvel. I expected the movie to go down the predictable Marvel plot line but it def surprised me. I think they set Holland Spiderman up well for what’s to come. Plot isn’t perfect but they managed to do it in a way that all within one movie it became a proper origin and coming of age story. Felt all the more emotional because of the many movies and backstory Marvel provided us. Am def looking forward to what’s to come.

ok wow andrew garfield blew me away! didnt know he could sing and his characterization was very well done!! i also liked the music and the story of this musical in general (an entire musical about the struggling artist, havent made it by 30 trope), but that’s not specific to the movie. felt the other characters were lackluster - vanessa hudgens character was just there always smiley and singing. anyways, worth it to see andrew garfield act, sing, and be really stressed
