I was told to watch this movie while it was in theaters by a classmate who simply said "it's just... wow. like you think it's going one way and it just gets... wow. like it just keeps getting more and more... wow". I absolutely adore this film. I originally watched it when it came out, and it really resonated with a lot of things I was dealing with and thinking about at the time. This is a movie. A good one? No. But it certainly is a movie. There isn't much to say about it. Josh Hutcherson is in it for some reason, there are some diabolically bad edits, and no one is redeemable. It made me extremely uncomfortable in a very bad way. Not like in a good horror/thriller way, but in a "the main character is a r*pist" kinda way. Not fun, not good.

Of all the things it is, "uneventful" is not one of them. The plot is all over the place (mostly in a good way), so much so that it is absolutely remarkable that this is based on a true story. This isn't revolutionary filmmaking,…
