A blast from top to bottom. Supporting cast, namely Donnie Yen, is top notch. Keanu is perfect. I understand that once you establish a bullet proof suit exists, you can’t really back down from that, but my ONLY gripe is that the presence of that tech in this movie makes Wick’s survival WAY more unlikely/unbelievable which took me out of it a few times.

Jump scares from top to bottom which works as well as you think, but it does well at keeping tension in between. Extra artful spinning or upside down establishing shots annoy me but I’m sure will dazzle some. The ‘smile’ is quite good at being unsettling and anytime it slowly appears really does the trick of turning a normal scene up a notch, but the final 15 minutes crank it up to 11 with some wildly imaginative and terrifying imagery…

As Predator movies go, maybe the best one if I’m taking nostalgia out of the picture of the original. Soundtrack, sound editing, every actor were great. The early morning and night scenery was perfect light and color usage.
For the discerning viewer: the premise of every Predator is based around an invisible hunter who is stronger, faster, with more advanced weapons, and better visual acuity than any human. So the idea that anyone but Predator might win is just something you are going to have to accept or not watch it.
