saw this late last night with my friend Ryan, after hearing of the rave reviews. i enjoyed this film, especially the animals, which were not anthropomorphized very much at all. The animation was very visually striking and almost video-game like. At times i felt like this almost took away from the immersion, but at others added to the aesthetic. I also liked the lack of dialogue and the inspiration drawn from a variety of real-world places and cultures.
