“Ladybug, breathe”
For a while I was worried the world had forgotten how to make a good movie, Bullet Train is a return to form for the Action/Comedy.
Three dimensional characters, great one liners, wonderfully choreographed fight scenes, a location that is the star of the film all combined with fantastic pacing which left me wanting more.
Why don’t they ever reboot bad films?
So this film sends a dangerous message. Much like the film Silver Linings Playbook, which told us, all we need is love to combat mental health issues, this film tells us all we need to break a curse is friendship.
That said it has Joey Fatone complete with a choreographed NSYNC dance so it gets a star.
Great cast, a premise that could work, and a willingness to not take itself seriously couldn’t save this film. Let’s try again.

Game over, man! Game over!! It is not often that a sequel can overshadow an original, but in my opinion, Aliens does just that. Without James Cameron, few sequels have a shot at pulling off such an amazing feat. Take great writing, perfect direction and casting that pairs Sigourney Weaver and Bill Paxton with Paul Reiser who gives the Alien queen a run for her money as the antagonist and you get a film that’s just as good to watch 35 years later.
