I had always seen memes of this film but never got around to actually viewing the film. Until tonight, only moments ago. Not only was the story set up to be a fantastic murder frenzy but the acting! The acting by Christian Bale! His acting brought the film to life and established the personified idea of a insane serial killer who is losing his ability to control his urges. Phenomenal casting, directing, and use of horror props.

Absolutely astounding cat and mouse story arc type, that ultimately led to a phenomenal but heart breaking ending that was so satisfying. This movie has such an epoch of a cast that leads me to say it was the 'Avengers' of the 1990's hollywood super actors. I cannot express how powerful this movie was.

John Carpenter captured a rather bleak and scary future of America rot with authoritarian style police state government. Snake Plissken former war hero turned gun for hire/criminal played by the Golden actor Kurt Russell perfectly brought to life a man who lives his everyday to survive in essentially living shit hole.
This universe that John Carpenter created is just awesome! Kurt Russell is the perfect man to play Snake Plissken with supported acting, writing, use of props, and excellent sets easily earning its 5 star rating.
