Mamma Mia! 2008
Watched about half of this on the plane to Las Vegas, clicked on it only because I’m in an ABBA phase. I don’t think I’m the right demographic for this one, or at least it would’ve been better to watch with white wine and a small group of middle-aged women.

That’s 100 minutes I’m not getting back, but this movie will sit comfortably in the lower vaults of my subconscious. I have a strong preference for “bad” movies with beautiful art direction but this one wasn’t doing it for me. I can respect the approach to capturing Dave McKean’s style. Can’t see myself rewatching it ever.

I liked the editing. The opening scene was nice, I immediately got the impression this was based off a comic book.
The camera makes itself very apparent in this movie. It is almost constantly shaking, even when there’s nothing happening. I guess the shakiness was meant as some reflection of Duncan’s hitman PTSD, but it’s just too much.
