Pretty good, if not a little disappointing. I feel like this was not as advertised. Thought there would be more Mickey dying shenanigans, got a lot less of that than expected. At times felt rushed and even boring, very unlike Director Bong. A lot of the “satire” was incredibly heavy handed, lacked any sort of subtlety. Also very unlike Bong. Sad. But what we got was solid.

All the acting was really good. Pattinson does a great job playing an innocent airhead, and these are the type of roles I love seeing Mark Ruffalo in. Naomi and Toni also deliver a lot.

Bangs, slaps, and owns. The quintessential cops and robbers flick. Al Pacino and Robert De Niro play two men who are in love with each other but don’t know it yet, bound to each other by their insatiable lust for the thrill of the chase.

A haunting gothic masterpiece. Every performance is equally beautiful as it is frightening, and every frame a painting. At times it genuinely feels as if you are watching a nightmare that you can’t wake up from, in a good way tho.

The problem with a director as inconsistent as Yorgos adopting the vignette style, is that the inconsistency really shows between chapters.

Here the director presents three shorts examining the lengths people will go to prove their devotion and commitment to one another, unhealthy as they may be. But by the end, it really felt like he was testing my devotion to his work. Maybe Yorgos isn’t for me and that’s fine, but I found myself wondering who is this actually for? …
