  Phew! I love this film, I watched it with mum years ago and remember being so surprised at the pace and way the story was told. Can’t ask for much more than Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett in a film together. Excellent

  I liked this as kinda “extra reading”. Like I enjoy watching endless YouTube videos about Madeleine McCann. The actual film-making, script, costume etc. wasn’t for me. But you know, it gave me some extra width and breadth on Virginia, so I’m not mad. Wouldn’t watch again though.

  Heartbreaking, sweet, beautiful. I loved this film. So many twists and turns. My heart was ripped out and stomped on. This gives me hope for pure, forever love. It’s up there with Heavely Creatures for me. They use the old person storytelling trope so well. I cannot believe the lesbian author’s name is truly Fannie Flagg. Amazing, can’t make that up. Can’t stop watching fan made montages on YouTube about Idgie and Ruth. Two “best friends” running a cafe and raising a baby together. Towanda Forever ❤️ I heard that they were making a series starring Reba McEntire?

  I did NOT like this film. Terrible representation of lesbos. And I should know😜 someone pointed out the seductress’s voice sounded like Stuart little’s mum, and we looked it up, it was. Then I just couldn’t take her seriously for the rest of the film, not that I ever could take her seriously. Long winded, then boring, then too much of opening of the god damned suitcase. The cinematography is alright sometimes. The dialogue is incredibly cliché, I could guess what they were going to say a lot. This film is just not for me and don’t ever want to see it again.
