  sublime storytelling seeing life through the eyes of a simple man with a simple routine. at first there was a twinge of pity that emerged within me, feeling sad for an older, lonely man. yet this film challenges your perception of happiness and gratification - the ability to be active, see delicate shadows emerge from the shimmering sunlight, witness and experience little exchanges. life’s beauty is measured in so many ways and this film, this protagonist really reframed my perception of contentment.
