I have no idea why so many people hate this movie. The plot is pretty generic, yes, but the jokes are hilarious. I mean, what did you guys expect when watching this, Citizen Kane?

I don’t know. The movie is alright until the moment Paul meets Stilgar. From that point, the movie just becomes an incoherent mess. And even before, relative to the novel the movie is based on, the story is so disappointing. Leto Atreides was such a great character in the book and in the movie he’s reduced to a cliche. The movie also cuts out the best part of the first half of the book where the Atreides host a dinner…

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 2012
I despise this trilogy. I don’t care about the few well-crafted elements; the trilogy made a mockery of the book. Here’s just a few examples: the stupid love triangle arc, the appearance of sauron, the terrible cgi (how does Gollum look worse in this than in LOTR), the 48 FPS that gave the movie a home video like quality, the cheesy dialogue and sequences (the barrel scene belongs in an Adam Sandler movie), the faithlessness to major plot points of the book, the inability to tell a difference between any of the dwarves personalities. I hate hate hate this trilogy.
