  I digged the scale of the cinematography, the script and homage to the first.

  However I felt like at times the monologues should have been more bone-chilling and evocative but it just kind of went blah.

  Really and truly felt like it missed a core opportunity here to slow cook the plot a bit more and then have a richer context between an ensemble (i.e. the people of Rome) rather than merely referring to them frequently throughout.
