  Very charming state sponsored communist propaganda film where impoverished Albanian children know more about their current politics than your coworker Cindy. It really was touching! And at least it was anti-Nazi occupation!

  This film has such a unique personality. It obviously deals with the heavy topic of domestic violence and abuse but portrays it in a very interesting way that you don't see very graphic images of DV while also not brushing over it. I absolutely was not expecting the ending! And jaw dropping beautiful composition/cinematography.

  All the comments about John being on the spectrum felt like they were feeling a little too carefree with that terminology. Like just some label to throw out there for a character who isn't behaving "normal". Despite that I did really enjoy it. The continual tension and chaotic turn of events reminded of films like Mother! And Climax but on a smaller scale. And IDK if it was an issue with the particular screen I saw it on but there was this grainy haze over most of the shots. Couldn't tell if it was supposed to be there or not.
