Beautiful Boy 2018
Such a painfully raw story, but it’s so beautifully conveyed with Steve Carrell and Timothee Chalamet’s performances. It’s only the second time I’ve seen this since its release and it’s so fucking heavy that it might be the last. Just a great job.

Baby Driver 2017
Just masterful directing from Edgar Wright. The music and way it’s filmed is just perfect. Jon Hamm gives one of my favorite performances and Jamie Foxx is also great. Only real problem is Baby himself is not a great character (Ansel Elgort and Kevin Spacey are a whole nother story, obviously). But this movie is so much fun throughout.

Before Sunset 2004
Certainly has its ways that it’s better than the first installment of the trilogy, but I really can’t get over my disliking of Ethan Hawke’s character, honestly. The car scene and the guitar scene were great and probably my favorites of the first two movies. I also really appreciate that it wasn’t dragged out, being just 80 minutes, but it gets the point across and the ending is fantastic.

Mean Girls 2004
Ok, we watched this in sociology class, and it was maybe one of the worst things I’ve ever watched aside from a couple funny jokes. Just the ultimate 2000s high school movie, which is not necessarily a good thing. Too much of this was too corny and cringy for me to give it anything higher than a 1.5.
