  Well put together, but disrespectful to its interviewees to the point of cowardice. I'm far from religious, but I believe that being a militant atheist is as bad as being aggressively dismissive of anything other than your own belief system.

  While there is a message in this film, it's often lost by Maher's fingerpointing at people whose only crime is that they believe in something he doesn't.

  Yesferatu.

  Eggers may well be the last living filmmaker who knows how to shoot a dark scene. Just so fucking good.

  Sad he didn't keep the post war Edvard Munchian expressionist scream vibes, but very happy to see he kept in the plague stuff.

  It always confused me why Orlok would charter a boat from Bohemia (modern day Czech Republic) to Germany, when he could have just taken a cab. Still though, all is forgiven for recreating that gorgeous shot of Orlok's hand shadow stretching across a black and white Wisburg. Gave me goosebumps.
