The week I decided to quit smoking cigarettes, I went and saw The Brutalist in theaters.

    Now that’s Brutal

The opening scene that culminates with the shot of the Statue of Liberty upon László’s arrival in New York is one of the best I’ve ever seen. I was utterly captivated and overwhelmed by chills right from the jump.

Pattinson turns in another awesome performance. Third act got messy. A lot to enjoy here, but left feeling a little underwhelmed by a weak climax.

    That’s what she said.

Skyrockets up the list of my favorite films of the 1940s. Tightly written, unbelievably witty, and funny. A classic that absolutely stands the test of time. Tremendous comedic timing throughout, Jack Benny is a marvel in this. And a tremendous goodbye to the silver screen for Carole Lombard, taken way too soon.

Makes me feel things i’ve never felt before. I love this movie with my heart and soul. It’s messages are so important. Do what you love…fuck the rest.
