never been much of a hellboy fan, outside of maybe watching the last movie ages ago, but this movie was pretty good!
the sound was honestly some of the best i've heard in a movie maybe ever, the music choice, both original and not, was great. and all of the sound cues and ambience and such all fit the movie and situation really well
the camera shots were pretty good too, there are a few shots that still stick in…
a really, really good movie. i'm not really good at talking specifics, but especially with where we are today, i'd recommend this one in a heartbeat.
one thing i can get specific about was the music and cinematography!! it's not the kind that's so good it takes you out of the movie, but it's the first time i've noticed the kind that's amazing, but still subtle enough to keep you interested in everything else. most shots are really thought out…
i've heard a lot about this movie, and it really lives up to all of it! makes me want to read the book and play the text adventure, it's one of those movies that makes you feel like the book just has to have tons of details the movie couldn't quite fit in.
now one of my favourite films of all time. we don't know exactly why the plot unfolds like it did until the very end, learning little details through casual conversation. the characters know the plot already, so there's no reason to explain everything in one go. the ending left me speechless. the cinematography is beautiful. watch this movie!
