Accidentally watched this on a whim. Haven’t seen this movie since I was about 5 or 6, where I remember getting distressed and crying near the end, running to the bathroom while yelling ‘E.T MADE ME CRY’.
Because damn does this movie suck you in. Spielberg is so good at cutting a conversation, the selection of shots always just feels really natural and idk it’s something I’ve noticed that makes his films special.

Dark Side of Oz. The whole Pink Floyd thing is cool and it works especially well in the first half of the movie. By the time the album cycles through for the third time, it’s like, okay, I think that’s enough. The house spiralling through the air to “Great Gig in the Sky” and Dorothy opening the door to Oz right on queue with “Money” was awesome. Also the whole Munchkin scene was just a trip with this soundtrack.
