Blue Velvet 1986
This is a movie about violence and sex and intimacy inviting all the awful things about people to come out, and somehow it just feels so personal. There’s something about Lynch more than maybe any other director I’ve watched where you can feel another human on the other side of the screen. Also laura dern could have chemistry with a rock.
