As a gladiator fan, I was hoping that it would take an original storyline while at the same time respecting the first film. it did that and I throughly enjoyed Mescal and the rest of the crew. Only thing I’d say is that I didn’t like how Washington’s character was focused on just as much as Lucius maybe more, as gladiator 1 was built on the emotional investment we had with Maximus. Loved it nonetheless!

The Prestige 2006
Love the theatrical concept, crazy that people were that invested into their “tricks” and “secrets”. Also I’m glad this was a film that Nolan took on. He told a story that was honestly pretty deep, and the development of the story and the characters were satisfying. Obviously we have a classic Nolan twist at the end which makes you think pretty deeply.
