Probably one of the most realistic depictions of a zombie apocalypse seen in media to date. A staple of the horror and apocalypse genre, this is a must see movie which shows how fragile our society is and our own destructive nature as a species. As usual, brilliant performances by Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson and Christopher Eccleston.
A harrowing tale of a group of men operating a tank during WW2, fighting against axis powers. While they battle the Nazi war machine they must also battle their own inner demons as they navigate a minefield of death, grief and cruelty. Fantastic performances by the star-studded cast and incredibly vivid depiction of the hellish ordeals soldiers on both sides had to go through during the most violent point in human history.
A cult classic for fans of action and more importantly dinosaurs, while also showing us how the advancement of knowledge can sometimes blind us to the dangers we pose to ourselves. As Neil deGrasse Tyson once so eloquently stated “God is an ever-receding pocket of scientific ignorance”. How far will we push the boundaries of science and nature? Will we eventually be responsible for our own downfall? Much like how Albert Einstein said that “Mankind invented the atomic bomb but no mouse would ever construct a mousetrap.” Could the power we hold over creation be what destroys us?
Great acting and fantastic action scenes without the sci-fi element being too overwhelming for those that prefer a grittier, more grounded movie.
“Outside The Wire” questions morality with the age old question ‘do the ends justify the means?’
A well written story which keeps the audience on the edge of their seats while bringing attention to many real issues faced in the world today as we are left to wonder what it means to be human.
