Beautifully shot film, some of the compositions and long takes combined with the vista vision print create some stunning shots. The colour rendering is also amazing, costumes and production design is fantastic.
The performances are all super.
The plot and story doesn’t really hold up, especially in the 2nd half, the film feels like it starts to fall apart and struggles to close off the epic start it’s created. Wasn’t a fan of the epilogue, somehow felt rushed in a 3.5hr film.

Beautiful and haunting film. War, loss, mystery, pain, love. A lot of static shots, wide angles, off center mids, some beautifully composed shots, the swimming close-ups are beautiful, also lighting is natural, actors being lost in darkness, don’t over light things! The intense argument the twins have at the beginning, all plays on a wide and it’s really nice, gives space and a feeling that we don’t know their lives yet. Maybe the film could be 20 mins shorter, but drawn out towards the end
