All star cast of youngsters (Keanu, Kiefer, Billy Zane, Lori Loughlin) flirt with vigilantism in a simmering mid-80s teen bop with a big message: rich kid vigilantism (don't do it) .
Acting isn't bad, everything else is mediocre. Walk, don't run, to see this forgettable little cubic zirconia of a film.
Zesty little jaunt. Doreen is now a film professor at NYU Abu Dhabi, and this is her only onscreen credit. If she can parlay this film into that, there's hope for all of us.
This is the best Chuck Norris movie I've seen so far. I first saw it when I was around 9, owned it on VHS as a kid, and recently watched it again as an adult.
Despite what others are saying, I find Chuck to actually be pretty funny, I find the chemistry between him and Lou Gossett Jr. entertaining, and there are plenty of one-liners that have stood the test of time for me.
"So gentlemen, we meet again."
The sets are cheap, the supporting cast could use some more acting classes. But, overall, I quite enjoy this movie, damn the torpedoes.
Hal Ashby directed this, which makes this review a bit depressing.
There is literally nothing of consequence to talk about. Jeff and Roseanna do a fine job. There are guns, there are gangsters, there are a few decent one-liners, but it's fundamentally an unremarkable movie.
RIP Sunny.
