The Brutalist 2024
A very fascinating movie, albeit very very long, not without purpose though. What stood out the most was definitely how amazing the cinematography was. The shots were amazing but you kind of had to work for it. Lots of very long, dark, almost uncomfortable scenes. The storytelling was also fascinating. The movie doesn’t end with anything concrete (pun), you don’t really know what happened to Mr. Van Buren, you don’t know why it ends with a shot of his niece, you don’t even see his project completed. Lots is left for you as the viewer to think about. A really really interesting movie.
