As a person who is not a fan of documentaries, I found The Celluloid Closet surprisingly enjoyable. It was extremely educational with the subject matter being important in general but also to me. It combined one of my greatest passions with one of my identities and many identities of those around me. As with most Wes Anderson films, the color palette and writing are the two standouts of this film. Every frame is gorgeous to look at and they are rarely boring. The writing is consistent and realistic to the world as well as the characters speaking them. There are obvious musical motifs that add to every scene they are in.
