The Silence of the Lambs 1991
Rewatched a few months ago with some friends realized it’s great but not a five. A friend had come over after suffering a concussion and during the flashback scene of Clarisse’s fathers funeral he said “this wedding is so weird” and then the camera cut to her dad in the casket and he said “wait a minute” like a complete fucking oaf. But anyway good movie, kinda corny.

One of the best films I’ve ever seen. It is so so visually stunning and it can’t be understated how beautifully made it was. The angles, lighting work, and palette for the film really enhances and immerses you into it very deeply. The story was extremely interesting and every performance was phenomenal. Probably movie of the year go see it now.

I had such high expectations for this and it didn’t really meet them. The way it was filmed and the aspect ratio changes are so cool and I love the color grading! The acting was really good but as soon as the devil or magic enters the equation it ruins it for me. STOP MAKING EVERYTHING MAGIC PLEEEEAAAASEEEE!!! The whole reason this is scary in the first place is the presentation that the film is grounded for the first hour, it gets ruined in the last 30 minutes. Watson putting on for all the offputting shawties is nice too
