  What an interesting film. Contrary to a lot of the standard romantic movie tropes, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" provides an unorthodox but strong perspective on love and how it's perceived. Each flashback scene played feels like a different taste of common relationship downfalls. Watching a relationship progress backwards was a perplexing but also necessary aspect to the story.

  As I sit in my dark room on a Tuesday morning listening to Chopin's Ballade No. 1 in G Minor, I can imagine not only Wladyslaw Szpilman's fear of playing this piece to a Nazi captain, but also him rediscovering his joy of the thing that makes him happiest.
