Multiple Razzie Award winner 2025. This film would have been straight to Netflix but for its director. The editors of Sight & Sound still slapped his face on their front cover this summer because they're the saddest of auteur fanboys. Cinema is dying and sometimes I think it deserves its fate.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
I think this was about the loneliness and isolation of having to hide your queerness (the "opaque pink", represented by a TV show where the great enemy is called Mr Melancholia) and then never quite recovering and feeling literally buried by the passage of time, which doesn't change even if you try to disappear to another unfriendly American suburb.
Or maybe that's not it at all. Honestly I have no idea what I watched, but it looked amazing. I never want to watch it again though.
