    Revolutionary action film and one of the most badass ones ever. No one will ever top the hell-yeah levels of Wesley Snipes in Blade.

    Sidenote, the main theme is so similar to Voldemort's theme and it always takes me out of the movie.

    I can see why it's as loved, however my Godfather will be the first one. This one isn't as well put, it's not as elegant. Going back and forth between the two stories, the rise and the demise of an empire, was fantastic, but I found myself quite more interested in Vito's story.
    Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning everything after the intermission was, at least, near masterpiece level. I'm sure I'll enjoy it more on a rewatch.

    I honestly don't know what everyone is seeing in this one. This was my most anticipated movie, and I'm a big Eggers fan. So far the man has made nothing but two of the most important movies in modern horror cinema, plus an adaptation of Hamlet that's so much fun to watch and a true feast to the eye and the "hell yeah" mind.

    I get what it's aiming for. A fable told through the lenses of postwar Japan and with a kind of horror-esque approach that relies on Japan's mythology. The moral is quite clear and it tries to be not only a reflection of the war's aftermath but also a crude representation of hell on earth and how we are our own demons to ourself and the others.
