At first I was confused why the cinema was full of lesbians, film nerds and teenage boys and then I immediately understood and strapped the fuck in (and up I’ll do anything for you Mikey Madison)
With a tone shift that rivals from dusk till dawn I never knew where this movie was going and I LOVED IT!! Please go in knowing as little as possible and I promise you’ll be rewarded.
I saw this at the opening of the Mardi Gras Film Festival and omg! What a sweet film. It perfectly captures the yearning and the internal turmoil even regardless of major external influence. The young actors are wickedly talented, Elias has the most subtly expressive face I’ve seen on an actor in a long time.
Would highly recommend!
