  Ok, I’ve figured out my main gripe with Wicked…it feels like there simply is not enough Technicolor in the film. Amazing songs (“Defying Gravity” is great each and every time), strong individual performances from both leads, and awe-inspiring visuals that just look saturated in scenes that you’re expecting to see colors flying off the screen, lacking vibrancy.

  Robert Eggers’ take on Nosferatu is a stunning example of atmospheric filmmaking. Its cold, grim visuals perfectly capture the eerie, desolate mood of the story. On top of strong individual performances from the cast, the attention to detail makes it feel new, while staying true to the gothic horror elements that were already established in both the 1922 and 1979 versions, respectively. Also, the score is so evocative that it adds to the tension, pulling the audience deeper into its cold, chilling, plague-ridden, 19th-century world. 

  
  Simply put, it’s a masterful reimagining of a classic horror tale.
