  I watched this 2 years ago and then again tonight and I have to say that Catherine Breillat really captures sexuality in such a unique and comforting way, she really singles out the raw emotions and instincts involved in the cruel world of female heterosexuality in a way that doesn't really serve the male or the female gaze but just presents reality in all of it's ugliness and beauty.

  Love the thumping noise that plays whenever the poltergeist is about to strike ! Super scary, now I'm afraid of being molested by a ghost (but not more than I fear the ramifications of the male medical establishment and its tendency to disbelieve women's experiences)
