  Take a shot for every Letterboxd review you find that calls this movie a triptych. 

  In all seriousness though, I liked this one a lot! It’s way better than a vignette film has any right to be and sitting around contemplating what each part means and all the ways they relate to each other has felt increasingly rewarding. I couldn’t tell you whether or not that’s the intended point, but personally, I, a dumbass, got a lot from it.

  It would be really lovely to be able to rely on residential care, but I’m not as rich as John Mulaney, so I can’t afford to go to treatment and then make jokes about all those who care dearly about me for millions of dollars. It would sure be nice if I could.

  John’s apology tour doesn’t convince me that he’s become a better person. It doesn’t need to, but the stand up special either needs to warm my heart or make me laugh, and it just made me sad.
