  I think this was my first Scorsese film? If so, it was lowkey a let down :/ Don’t get me wrong: I loved this film and enjoyed my time, but the “art” of it doesn’t carry it enough to warrant a second watch. On the other hand, there was such good planning in terms of releasing information that hinted at… it, so by the end of the story it perfectly all lined up which was nice for the first watch

  I had the whole apartment on the edge of their seat GOD DAMMIT! Nature is so gross and chaotic, and this film makes you realize that we ALL are products of evolution: all fighting to further our lineage.

  This film was very beautiful: it was clear that there was a vision for the art direction. I felt connected with the characters even though he was an asshole (let’s be honest), and felt that the comic relief was fine and didn’t drag down the movie too much

  The cinematography was beautiful. It didn’t take me long to see the beauty in the way it was shot, and i loved a lot of what i saw. it’s not beautiful but the idea is done to near perfection
