  amazing. may be The feminist film, right up there with Daisies. only thing that bothered me was the audio was terrible in the theater so it made the already bad quality audio of the dialogue even harder to hear -_-

  had to sit with this a few days before giving a review:

  beautiful, haunting, and nihilistic. i loved it and yet it was hard to sit through, mostly because of how slow it was. that's really the only reason i am not rating it higher... some of the long, repetitive scenes i really loved though i think it was just difficult on the first watch. it was magical and inspirational while being very bleak which i enjoyed. i think i would need to rewatch it to fully know how i feel about it/to digest it further.

  this was not it ... very much the wrong genre for nolan. he should stick with purely action and/or suspense, not historical drama.

  only good part was seeing the scenes that were shot for shot like the original. and then being reminded of how good the original is. everything else sucked it was almost unbearable to watch. and so fucking ugly.
