Pride & Prejudice 2005
Lizzy is viewed as a witty heroine who provides scathing criticisms of the system that she inhabits. She doesn't. Even Jane Austen doesn't. Their criticisms are present but in the end are hardly salient because they want to both criticize society and yet live in the upper rungs of it.
An entertaining watch though, and it has some awareness of the injustices present in English society at the time.
