Great movie for exposing the exciting world of roller derby, Ellen Page is awesome as always. I love the amount of girl power and female camaraderie that this film expands on; it portrays women as individuals working as a unit to a common goal without forgetting that every women comes from a different background and has unique personalities. All of these women are strong and empowering in their own ways.

Tomboy is a beautiful take on the complexities of gender identity and the gender spectrum that follows a young boy trying to make his place in a new neighborhood while simultaneously attempting to be who he wants to be.
A relatable narrative for anyone questioning their gender identity, and I truly enjoy that this film was made with young kids as the main cast, showing that confusion in gender identity can be present at both younger and older ages.
Definitely recommend this film
