  This film should have ended as soon as the camera zoomed in on the giftbox sitting on the trunk of the car. He doesn't know the truth about his kid, Lion's personal journey has concluded, and the audience does not need to know what happens after that scene. It would have been better to accept the uncertainty of both how Lion is affected and ultimately the destiny of a couple of non-committal, incompatible drifters, who are (maybe) likely to…
