    ★★★½

This movie is nuts but living forever in an abandoned castle in Transylvania with a booming real estate empire in London and only leaving every few centuries to stir up an ancient romance is kind of my ideal lifestyle

    Thor: Love and Thunder

    ★½

For those still holding on to any semblance of solemnity found in the Thor movies of old, run for the hills. In typical Taika Waititi fashion, Love and Thunder offers a campy comic adventure that seldom takes itself seriously. The sole exception being Christian Bale’s performance as Gorr the God Butcher, offering one of the most perturbing, yet compelling Marvel villains yet. While the film struggles with its fast pacing and inability to find a coherent tone, it should be commended for its departure from the standard, formulaic Marvel film.
