i really want to know what that concoction of a drink was….lean mayhaps…..
anyway i liked this movie except for the snakes and paul dano being wrongfully tortured and not knowing what the connection was to the guy with the snakes & the old lady and how drugged up hugh jackman survived with a gunshot wound in a dark cellar for days and how nobody pulled over for the emergency vehicle and the fucking whistle at the end oh my godTranslated from by -

The Squid and the Whale 2005
it takes damn good writing to make a movie with highly unlikeable characters actually good, and i admire noah baumbach for that.
i feel there’s no concrete major dramatic curve of this movie, and that’s what i like most about it. it felt as real as divorce could feel through the lens of a growing child. definitely could relate to the whole drinking part (at least i wasnt smearing my dna on school property, right?)
