Monkey Man 2024
I usually hate action films because it feels so arbitrary and not necessary for the story. Here it felt necessary and I love the trans warriors.
I also love how dirty the fighting was.

The Piano 1993
I think I like period drama pieces that have like this softness to them. ( I will investigate what that softness is. Reflection of the character’s silence? I wonder what Campion references are.) lI also love a romance and the piano. First 5 minutes, I knew I would love it. Also doesn’t help that I grew up on the soundtrack.
