The French Connection 1971
Marseilles became a centre of drug smuggling thanks to the alliance of the anti-communist Force Ouvrìere trade union allying with Corsican gangsters to kick left-wing dockworkers out of the port. This doesn’t come up in the film but it’s still enjoyable.
