Great performances, odd script.
Also love to see that even back in 2001 directors and audiences equated a severe green/yellow color grading with GRIT AND GRIME

Every time I heard the overture theme I stood up and saluted the screen. I can’t wait to watch this again. Nothing but admiration and respect for Brady Corbet clearly pushing (maybe, maybe to a fault) to make something truly majestic.
The sensory and emotional experience was so overwhelming that I feel I have at best a tenuous grasp on the themes and ideas here. Suffice to say, I am already looking forward to peeling this thing back the first chance I get.
I cannot be surprised that every review logged on here is just a line of dialogue. Allow me to toss in one of my favorites:
“What has this boy got that Susie likes?”
“Integrity. Acute, like indigestion.”
This movie rocks.
