Sunset Boulevard 1950
Sep 9th I took Nancy Olson to and from a screening of Sunset Boulevard. She was so incredibly kind, and answered all my questions about Billy Wilder, Gloria Swanson, and William Holden.
At the screening, she told a story about how during shooting, day by day, more and more people shooting other films on the Paramount lot would stay late to watch dailies from Sunset. Everyone knew it was going to be an incredibly special thing.
The print at the screening was brand new, and insanely beautiful. The film was perfect, and spending that time with Nancy was truly once in a lifetime.
