The visuals are stunning, almost every shot feels like a painting, and the atmosphere is captivating. Lily-Rose Depp delivers some of the most chilling possession scenes I’ve ever seen in a horror movie, while Bill Skarsgsrd feels born to play creepy supernatural villains with his eerie voice. That said, this movie is intense. There are some super disturbing scenes that make it a uniquely unsettling experience. As much as I appreciated the artistry, it’s not something I’d willingly sit through again.

I went into this knowing almost nothing except that it was a horror film with James McAvoy as (maybe?) the bad guy, which was all I needed to add it to my watchlist. I had an awesome time watching it. This movie feels like an endless build-up of tension until things completely blow up in your face. So many intense moments that had me on edge the whole time. James McAvoy was absolutely incredible and made it worth every second.

This film was an emotional rollercoaster ride and kept me hooked from start to finish. Unfamiliar with the tragic tale of the von Erich family, I was genuinely shocked at how things went from bad to worse, then even worse. The performances were outstanding, with Zac Efron delivering his most robust portrayal ever, shattering the Disney pretty-boy image with an Oscar-worthy performance. Kudos also to Holt McCallany, who played one of the shittiest characters I've ever seen on screen. A24 proves once again that they can make gripping films when they don't have to rely on pretentiousness.

It was refreshing to see Deadpool openly mock and joke about the current state of the MCU and the whole multiverse thing without holding back. It was also great to finally see him team up with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. Overall, the movie was a fun experience, especially after the recent dip in the MCU. The great humor, Easter eggs, and cameos, made it feel like a fitting farewell to Fox's Marvel era.
