  this is what london water does to a bitch. good film - allegory for how how mental illness never truly goes away at the end or is she genuinely clairvoyant? - Anya Taylor Joy slayed ofc, great sound and costume design. it’s a shame it unravels so much in the third act, but it’s still a fun watch.

  truly fangtastic. incredibly nightmarish atmosphere, incredible performances, and incredible use of light and shadow.

  the theme of Ellen's persistent loneliness and alienation was something I thought was really well done. she was doomed from the start, and was able to reclaim her power by accepting that. I also think the way that the aspects of sexual repression and shame played into Count Orlock not only as a character but also a force of nature ("a hunger") was very well done.
